Press Releases 19 February 2007 Racing UK Fields Top Team For Festival Racing UK has assembled a crack team of top presenters and leading form experts for its extended and uninterrupted coverage of the four day Cheltenham Festival, which starts on Tuesday, 13 March. The premier horseracing satellite channel will kick off each day's broadcast at 9.00 a.m. with a special preview programme live from the course covering the build up to the day's racing, previewing the races, and following the betting movements. Nick Luck and Lydia Hislop will be sharing the presenting duties, alternating between the morning preview programme and the live coverage of each day's six race card. Emma Spencer and Stuart Machin will be roving reporters, catching the latest news and views live from around the course and the paddock. A star cast of top pundits, Graham Cunningham, Jonathan Neesom, Steve Mellish, Eddie Freemantle, and Simon Clare complete the line up for the four days of coverage, during which Racing UK will broadcast 8 hours of live coverage a day. For subscribers unable to catch all the races as they happen, and those wanting to relive the highlights of the day, the Racing Replay programme in the evenings will repeat all the thrilling action hourly. Press Releases 27 February 2007 Broadcast Boost for Point to Point Racing Point-to-Point Racing receives a massive boost on Thursday, when leading satellite horseracing channel, Racing UK, begins a series of weekly round-up programmes dedicated to the sport. Scheduled to be broadcast at 7.00 p.m., the show will be fronted by Mark Johnson and will be available free to all satellite viewers for the first two weeks (Thursday, 1 March and Thursday, 8 March), alternating with the channel's popular Racing Replay programme. With more than 200 meetings staged between December and June in mainland Britain and almost 4, 000 horses taking part, Point-to-Point racing has a large and enthusiastic following, and is also widely regarded as a vital grass roots source for National Hunt racing.
